Niki Toney is a Filipino-American artist who grew up internationally and spent most of her formative years in Vietnam and the Philippines. She currently resides in Vallejo, California. She graduated from the Academy of Art University (AAU) in 2011 with a degree in illustration.
Since graduating, Niki has shown her work in various art shows/galleries throughout California and has illustrated for companies such as Vox (Eater), LA Times, the US Department of State and the ACLU of Northern California.
Niki loves to illustrate work that connects her with her Filipino heritage – her work highlights slices of Filipino life and is heavily based off her own childhood memories. You can also find her downtown on many Vallejo Art Walk nights with her “Send Doodz” booth, where she draws patrons’ portraits.
